"A Trip through the Fan" is an experimental artist book inspired by the beauty of the gardens and architecture found in The Fan in Richmond, Virginia. The Fan is a residential neighborhood consisting of late 19th century and 20th century homes. The construction of "A trip through the fan" can be found under bookmaking.
2020. 8.5x11in. Created in procreate and formatted in Indesign, a botanical field guide of plants growing in Richmond. Documented and observed plant life on my city block and created a guide for viewers to be able to identify species on their own.
A collection of these illustrations were featured in the Virginia Commonwealth Universities Department of Communication Arts Fall 2020 exhibition "Omens" at the Anderson Gallery.
